Gigi Cardigan Kit
I first saw the Little Gigi cardigan when it was nominated for the Mason Dixon Knitting March Mayhem bracket last spring. I fell in love with the simple and sweet design. Then Devin Ventre, the designer of the Little Gigi, happened to order some Wisconsin Woolen Spun Worsted and told me she was designing the adult-sized Gigi cardigan with our yarn. We emailed back and forth for a bit and I decided to ask if we could collaborate to make a cardigan kit using our yarn and her pattern. Devin was very excited about the idea of a Gigi Kit and the feeling is mutual!
For this charming kit we have pulled together our popular Wisconsin Woolen Spun Worsted yarn in five color options, and ordered custom-made artisan buttons from one of our favorite American-makers.
I know you are going to enjoy knitting this adorable and versatile short-sleeved cardigan as much as I did. It is perfect for beginners, even first-time sweater knitters, and it's just as perfect for experienced knitters wanting a moment to relax. I knit my own Gigi and I added some fun modifications that you may or may not want to add to yours. I am posting about all of these modifications in detail on the Barrett Wool Co. Journal starting next week. You don't need to add any modifications but sometimes it's fun to see what can be done differently to make the knit your own!
