I am so excited that designer/podcaster and my friend, Tracie Millar, gave Barrett Wool Co. permission to create kits with her gorgeously cozy Shepherdess sock pattern. As soon as I saw her pattern using our Home Fingering Weight yarn I knew that I had to have a pair for myself. The pattern is so simple and clearly written that I could see myself using it again and again. The stitch pattern creates a texture that is appealing in appearance and keeps you going with just a bit of interest. These socks are pretty much perfection. I didn’t change a thing in the pattern other than to add in a contrast cuff, heel and toe.
I have curated five color combinations in our Home Fingering Weight yarn for the Shepherdess Socks Kits. I think you will love the pairings. We have grays and greens and pinks and blues and more from which to choose. Take a look through and see what strikes your fancy. The Home Fingering Weight yarn makes the squishiest socks. If you haven’t tried a 100% wool for sock knitting I highly recommend it. The difference is notable and the care is easy.
Please Note: The pattern is NOT included in the kit. You will need to purchase the Shepherdess Socks pattern directly from Tracie’s pattern shop. Click here to purchase the pattern.
