With our grayest of days lately here in Wisconsin, I have been craving color in every other part of life including my knitting. We pulled together the sweetest of kits for you today with our Home Fingering Weight Nuggets. These are little 25-gram skeins of our springy cheerful yarn. With permission, I used Kay Jones’ beautiful Sweetheart Cowl pattern to show off all of the 10 colorways included in this kit. You can find Kay on Instagram here or YouTube here.
You don’t want to miss out on this darling cowl that’s simple colorwork in the round. The charts are so easy breezy and fun. I could not put this project down.
I used the exact same needle size that Kay recommends, US size 4 sixteen-inch needles. I changed the colors, of course, but I also didn’t cast on as many stitches. I cast on 144 stitches instead of 168 stitches. The kit includes enough yarn for the larger size so don’t worry about that, either size will work out. We will put this information on the kit page for future reference. I just wanted a closer-fitting cowl.
Evan has created a photo with the yarn colorways noted by the side so if you want to create the same Sweetheart Cowl as mine you can. This is posted on our BWC Journal. Click here.
Included in the Sweetheart Cowl Kit:
* 10 Home Fingering Weight Nuggets in the following colorways: Iris (orchid purple), Snowy Pine (icy mint green), Red Flannel (red), Poppy (bright red), Priscilla (sweet pink), Marmalade (pumpkin orange), Rhubarb (medium pink), Cheery (rosy pink), Bluff (medium blue), and Pepin (eggplant). There is enough yarn to make one cowl.

Please note the pattern is NOT included! Please purchase the pattern directly from Kay Jones on Ravelry by clicking here!
Also, don’t forget that if you’re not in the mood for a sweetheart cowl, this kit would be fantastic for the Bits and Bobs Socks by Morgan Panich.
