Today we are releasing one of my all-time favorite designs, the Classic Chicken. I worked so hard to get every element just right. The Classic Chicken starts at the bottom and is worked in the round up to the top of the head. The chicken-details are added on after the body is completed. I filmed video tutorials and took photos along the way, all of which is included in the pattern. I hope this is helpful.
The two smaller chickens in gold and black are worked entirely in DK weight yarn, and the slightly larger white chicken is worked in a worsted weight yarn with the details in the DK weight yarn.
I love this design. I am proud of it, too. The entire time I was knitting and writing I kept thinking to myself, “This is a classic chicken.” I had no choice in the name. It’s perfect!

Included in the Classic Chicken Kit
* Enough yarn in to make all three versions of the chickens shown in the photos. The yarn included is DK weight in black, gold, and red, and the worsted weight in creamy white. The DK weight yarn in the kit is different than the yarn used the samples in the photos.
* Three sets of chicken safety eyes.
* A printed pattern booklet.
* The pattern is included for free with the kit purchase via a download code printed on a card found inside your kit bag.
