As soon as I saw Carrie Bostick Hoge's Branches & Bud sweater in the first issue of Making Magazine Flora, I knew I had to knit it up. I decided to use our Wisconsin Woolen Spun yarn in sport weight and I also decided to use the beautiful undyed natural colors of Quaker Gray and Birch. The sweater practically knit itself, it went so smoothly and the pattern by Carrie is beautifully written.

A little about the sweater, it is worked from the top down with a colorwork yoke. The color work uses only two colors and follows a very simple chart. This would make a perfect first-time sweater or colorwork project. For more experienced knitters this project will be a breeze. The neckline is a bit like a boatneck style and I absolutely love the end result.

You need to figure out your size before you order. For reference, the BWC sample is knit to fit a 36-inch bust and was made in the 39 1/4-inch size.
