We are thrilled to introduce you to my latest design, the Nightfall Doll! It is a joyful doll to hold and to knit. We’ve made the loveliest kit for you today to make your own set of Nightfall Dolls. The pattern is available only in the beautiful new issue of Making Magazine. The theme of the magazine is Dusk and the entire issue is absolutely gorgeous and calm.
Here is my little introduction to the Nightfall Doll from the magazine:
Dusk is such a beautiful time of the day where winding down and getting ready to sleep becomes the focus. The simply designed Nightfall Doll is designed to bring comfort and peace to its owner at dusk or any time of the day. The doll features no bells and whistles, just simplicity at its finest. The doll is worked from the top-down in one piece from the head to the bottom. The arms are picked up and knit onto the body. The hat is worked separately and stitched in place on the head. The finished measurement of the doll is 14-inches long from the bottom of the body to the tip of the hat and about 5-inches wide at the lower end of the body.
The Nightfall Doll Kit includes:
* Enough of our squishy Home Worsted Weight yarn to make all three dolls as shown in the photos. You get your choice of Bluff (blue) or Wood Violet (purple) to go with the Ellie Grey. And you get your choice of skin tone for the three dolls. You can get one skin tone (tan, brown or peach) to make three dolls all the same OR all three skin tones to make one of each as in the photos.
* The yarn comes packed in a tagged and printed cotton project bag for you.
* The pattern is included at no additional cost in the form of a Ravelry download code on a printed card tucked inside the cotton bag.
These are truly the sweetest and simplest little dolls. I absolutely love them and I hope you do, too!
