Three French Hens Kit
We are finally back in action with our Home Fingering Weight yarn line! To kick off the new season of our yarn we are offering Susan's adorable and elegant Three French Hens in kit form. These pint-size chickens couldn't be any more fun to knit with a super-simple "woven" colorwork pattern included.
The Hens are knit from the bottom-up in one piece and then right up through the crown on top. The beak is picked up and knit on. All that's left is the loopy tail and a straight stitch or two for the eyes. And you are done!
The pattern is only available in Taproot Magazine at this time. The kit can be purchased with or without the magazine, in case you already own it. Next fall the pattern will be available for individual purchase.
I hope you enjoy making your own Three French Hens!
The Three French Hens Kit will include the new tighter twist on the Red Flannel and the Peppercorn colorways. The Picket Fence will still have the original twist. There is no problem at all combining the two versions of the yarn for Hens.
The Kit Includes:
- Three skeins of Home Fingering Weight, one of each in Peppercorn, Red Flannel and Picket Fence. Each skein is approximately 50 grams. This is enough yarn to make all three of the hens shown in the photo which weigh 35 grams each.
- Hand-stamped cotton bag
- Tin of 20 assorted colored stitch markers
- Purchase the kit with or without a copy of Taproot Magazine which includes the pattern for the Three French Hens. Select without if you already own a copy of the magazine. You can also purchase a standalone copy of the magazine in our Mercantile.
- If you purchase the magazine with the kit you get $2.00 off the regular price.
