Well, we are trying something a little bit new! We’ve come across some really beautiful sock yarn that we are having hand-dyed right now and it’s superwash. That’s right it is super wash wool with nylon. You can throw these socks right in the washer and dryer. We are calling it Wisconsin Washable Sock Wool, it’s 80% superwash merino / 20% nylon. I think you’ll love it. I have selected three beautiful glow-y hand-dyed slightly tonal colorways for you and I’ve designed a lovely leafy sock pattern to go with it. Here is a little information for you.
There are three kit colorways from which to choose, Leafy (mossy green), North (tones of gray), and Boothbay (denim blue).
The sock is worked from the cuff down with a traditional heel flap. The pattern is written for double-pointed needles but could easily be worked on a different method like magic loop, if you prefer. There are three sizes, small, medium, and large. I made the size medium to fit me.
The Wild Leaf Socks Kit includes the following:
* One skein of our Wisconsin Washable Sock Wool, enough to make one pair of socks in any of the sizes in the pattern. There are three kit colorways from which to choose, Leafy (mossy green), North (tones of gray), and Boothbay (denim blue).
* The Wild Leaf Pattern is included with the kit for FREE. The pattern comes in the form of a Ravelry download code on a printed card found in your kit bag.
* A tin of stitch markers.
* The kit will come packed in our printed canvas project bag with an illustrated tag by Susan.
