I decided my Sven & Solveig dolls could use a new cardigan, a removable garment, to go over the cleverly knit-in clothing on the dolls. If you have a Barrett Wool Co. Sven & Solveig Kit you’ll have plenty of gorgeous Wisconsin Woolen Spun yarn leftover. So why not use it to make a cardigan or two for the dolls. I made the sample in one color, Hawthorn, but you could do stripes, add a little colorwork to the yoke, add accent cuffs and trim, etc. Have fun and I hope you enjoy this extra piece to go along with Carol’s amazing pattern.

Measurement: 4 1/2-inches in length from the collar to bottom edge of the body.

Size: To specifically fit Carol Anderson’s Sven & Solveig doll pattern made with the modifications by Susan B. Anderson. The modifications make a smaller doll than in the pattern. The modifications are found on the Barrett Wool Co. Journal and are to be used along with the original Sven & Solveig pattern by Carol Anderson.

Yarn: Wisconsin Woolen Spun Fingering Weight, small amount needed.
The finished Cardigan weighs 17 grams

Needles: US size 3 / mm 24-inch circular and double-pointed needles or size to achieve gauge. Tip: Go up one size from the size used for the doll.

Gauge: 7 stitches per inch in stockinette stitch.
