We are so excited to introduce our newest featured kit today for the My Hope Shawl. The shawl is beautifully crafted and designed by the one and only Laura Linneman of the Knitgirllls Podcast. I’ve known Laura for a really long time now. She’s just wonderfully talented in so many ways. Laura's My Hope pattern was originally released way back in 2012 and that's when I knitted my first My Hope shawl.

I’ve curated three gorgeous color combinations for the shawl kits for you. The sample in the photos uses the colors Cove (blue) and Belle (rose) and it reminds me of blueberries and raspberries, I love this juicy combination. I also have a gorgeous kit set with gray, called Loam, and a heathered green called Vine. This green drives me crazy, I love it so much. And lastly, I paired our deep teal, called Loch, with a heathered copper, called Old Fashioned. It’s such a rich combination. All three kits are so beautiful and now I want to make them all!

Beads! If you’ve ever been to my shawl design class, you know I love clear beads with a silver lining for all yarns and shawls. I adore these beads. We finally got these perfect beads, clear with a silver lining, in stock With the kit, you get a generous jar filled with my favorite beads to adorn the edge of your My Hope Shawl. I’m really excited about this.

As an added bonus, in 2012 Laura’s friend Lynn was doing a fundraiser for the Make A Wish charity. Laura designed the shawl as a fundraiser to help her friend. Through different avenues, including the shawl, they raised $15,000. This time around to go with our BWC kit sales, Laura will use the money from the pattern sales to purchase books for her school’s library. She is the award-winning librarian (she recently won teacher of the year!) at a public middle school in Mississippi. The fact that we can help Laura buy new books for her kids makes me so happy.

Even if you don’t purchase the My Hope Shawl Kit, maybe consider purchasing the pattern to help buy books for the kids, if you’re able?

If you do purchase the beautiful My Hope Shawl Kit with beads and the pattern I know you will love it all just as much as I do. It’s so interesting and fun to make and the best to wear!
