One of my favorite things about summer is the time when our backyard garden is ripe for the picking. Walking out to the backyard and coming in with an armful of tomatoes and cucumbers makes my day. With this in mind, I decided to create a summer-themed garland full of veggies to celebrate!
The charm set includes patterns for a carrot, mini-cucumber (or pickle), tomato, peas in a pod, onion, beet, and corn on the cob. All of the projects are worked seamlessly and in the round. The only separate piece is the corn husk which has a short section worked back and forth. The veggies can be used for a garland, to make perfect individual ornaments, to be used as play-food for the young ones, or to be displayed in a bowl on a coffee table. The veggies are fun but also kind of elegant.
The pattern is really beautiful if I do say so myself. It’s a little veggie-filled book. I made watercolor illustrations of each of the vegetables, there is a table of contents to make things easier to find, there are several exclusive video tutorials I filmed along the way, and it’s generally light and airy to the eye with step-by-step numbered instructions.
The Summer Veggie Garland Kit is spectacular! It includes SEVEN mini-skeins of our Wisconsin Woolen Spun Fingering. Really, the yarn is so beautiful and three of the colors are brand new.
The Kit Includes:
