The entire time I worked on this larger snowman for last year's Good Tidings Box I kept thinking what a friendly character was coming to life so I just stuck with it and the name become The Friendliest Snowman. The snowman is so charming and I wish you could all hold it in your hands. The added mohair/silk strand makes a fuzzy, cozy fabric that feels wonderful. The construction is simple, about as simple as it gets for toy-knitting. You will love this enjoyable winter-themed character to use as home decor or to give to someone to love.
A couple of things to note, the snowman is just under 12-inches tall including the hat. It’s such a great size. The snowman's body and head are knit in one-piece in the round from the bottom up. The arms are picked up and knit on. The scarf and hat are worked separately. The hat is secured to the head. The nose is wool felt.
